After showing some improvement in their previous two games; a loss against Los Angeles and a win against San Jose, the Buffalo Sabres were simply awful in a 4-0 loss against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Tuesday night.  Managing just 10 shots on goal it certainly has to rank among one of the worst games this team has ever played.

Even though he wasn't getting a whole lot of help, for 39 minutes Sabres goaltender Michael Neuvirth held off the Leafs.  The Leafs put shot after shot on Neuvirth and he stopped them all Tyler Bozak finally broke the ice with a power play goal with 50 seconds left in the second period to put the Leafs into the lead.

That's all the Leafs would need.  But the Leafs added three more goals in the third period to win easily.

The Leafs finished outshooting the Sabres 37-10.  The 10 shots for the Sabres is an all-time team record low.  And it's a record low allowed by the Leafs.  It's the fourth shutout loss of the season for the Sabres.

That completes the Sabres 4-game road trip.  But from the pot into the fire.  They're back home Thursday night against the same Boston Bruins they lost 4-0 to on October 18th.
