Anders Lindback kicks away a shot during the Buffalo Sabres game in Boston [Buffalo Sabres][/caption]Give credit when it's due.  The Buffalo Sabres have put in some good efforts against some of the better teams in the league in the past few weeks, but it hasn't always showed on the scoreboard.  Tuesday night against the Bruins in Boston the Sabres played one of their best games of the season and the result reflected it.

Goaltender Anders Lindback stopped 44 Bruins shots plus three more in a shootout to lead the Sabres to a 2-1 win.  Lindback gave up a first period goal, but stopped every Bruin shot after that for his first win of the season.

A power play goal by Rasmus Ristoleinen early in the third period tied the game at 1-1 forcing overtime and then the shootout where a goal by Tyler Ennis was enough to win it.

Win the victory the Sabres break a 7-game losing streak.  The Sabres are off until Friday when they host the New Jersey Devils.
