The Buffalo Sabres built a 3-0 first period lead and made it hold up to beat the Minnesota Wild 3-2 Tuesday night for their second straight win.  It was also the second straight win by goaltender Linus Ullmark.  The Sabres first year netminder stopped 28 shots to pick up the victory.

Jamie McGinn, Rasmus Ristolainen and Brian Gionta scored the goals in the first 20 minutes and it turned out to be enough as the Sabres won two of the three games on their road trip.  So now it's back to Buffalo where they haven't won in a month.

The Sabres last victory at First Niagara Center was on December 17th against Anaheim.  The Sabres host Boston on Friday night.
