Carrie Underwood Saves The Day For K-9 Officer And His Partner

There's no secret to the fact that Carrie Underwood loves animals.  She's got two of her own puppies that do just about everything with her.  But recently, she came to the rescue of a dog that is used to helping others.

Kevin Branscum has teamed up with his German Shepherd partner Gino for over 4 years. Branscum is a K-9 narcotics investigation officer for the McIntosh County Sherrif’s Departments.

However, they recently had some problems after Gino suffered with heart worms from a mosquito bite.  The bills began to pile up for Branscum.

“We’ve been going to vets for months, and we’ll be done with treatment in May. Treatment includes pils and injections. We stared a pill which he has to make for 30 days and he has 120 pills to take. March 9th he starts injections. It has already cost me $4,000”

 

This is where Carrie comes in.  After hearing about the trouble that Branscum found himself in, she committed to auctioning off two signed guitars to help raise money to cover those bills.
