Carrie Underwood Set to Star in Live Production of ‘The Sound of Music’ [VIDEO]
Just announced, Carrie Underwood has accepted the role of Maria Von Trapp made famous by Julie Andrews, and will star in a three hour live Production of ‘The Sound of Music’ coming to NBC in the 2013 Holiday season.
Carrie has had small roles in feature films and has guest starred on a couple of sitcoms along with hosting her own holiday special and the CMA Awards but this will be the first major acting role. I’d be nervous as all get out doing something of this caliber live on national television, but Carrie is no stranger to live TV as we all know she got her start in big way on American Idol with millions of people watching her every step. I’ll keep you posted on when the show will air next year.
