That accident in the Town of Tonawanda that took the life of a 12-year-old boy riding his bicycle to football practice continues to bother me. The driver wasn't charged. She had a green arrow to turn left onto Sheridan Drive. The boy probably didn't notice the green arrow because all the other lights were red and he thought he could cross safely. Just a terrible accident.
You heard about all the problems with Boeing’s Dreamliner earlier this year. Most of the problems were with the batteries causing fires, but they seem to have that problem worked out. The problems were with the 787-8 version. Over the weekend the company introduced the first 787-9 version.
It really was a relative few who got to see the president in person as he began his bus tour across New York State and into Pennsylvania yesterday. Many, many more did get to see the presidential motorcade, and you really have to be impressed with the level of security.
Today is Tooth Fairy Day. It’s pretty traumatic for kids to lose a tooth, but the promise of a visit from the Tooth Fairy seems to make everything much better, especially when the tooth is replaced with a small gift, usually money.
