June 2, 2012 You can't imagine the amount of work and time that goes into putting together the annual show we call the "Taste of Country." Over the years we've learned a lot of things and made adjustments to produce a great, family event. We try to cover all the bases, but one thing we have no control over is the weather.

June 2, 2012 Even with the abrupt ending, Taste Of Country 2012 was quite the show. But we were especially impressed with Joe Nichols' ability to rock Coca-Cola Field through intense rain and high winds.

First of all, thank you so much for coming out to Coca-Cola Field last night, braving severe and extreme weather conditions to support Taste of Country, WYRK, and the artists who played the show. You guys are the best, and we feel privileged to serve you and this community.
We were as frustrated as you that we were forced to suspend last night's show prior to Eric Church's set, but we hope you understand that public safety was and should be the number one concern. To that end, we wanted to provide you with some specific details so that you understand the set of facts we encountered last night.
First of all, I want to say how proud I am to be part of the best radio station in Western New York. It's been my life for almost 29 years and I appreciate all of you who have showed up at our WYRK functions throughout the years

June 1, 2012 Regrettably, Eric Church was unable to play at Taste of Country 2012 Friday night after the weather made for unsafe conditions.
High winds created a safety concern and compromised the stage structure. After intense consideration, it was decided it was in the best interest for the safety of everybody at Coca Cola Field that Eric Church not perform.
