The Charlie Daniels Band’s ‘Tangled Up in Blue’ Video Provides Blast from the Past

Throughout the video, historical footage and photos of the band is displayed, bringing up feelings of nostalgia. Additionally, clips of the group recording in Lebanon, Tenn., and performing at the Ryman Auditorium and in New York are interspersed throughout.
Daniels also gives a glimpse of his insane fiddle skills, something that’s always to be appreciated.
The ‘Tangled Up In Blue’ cover is off the band’s new album ‘Off the Grid – Doin’ It Dylan‘ which features 10 Dylan covers. Daniels was actually a part of the icon’s band from 1969-1970 and recorded three albums with Dylan.
He may be country’s biggest Dylan fan, telling Taste of Country, “I’ve been a Dylan fan for a long time and he’s just one of those guys that hit the spot with me, you know, that I’d thoroughly enjoyed listening to through the years … one of the great things about his catalogue is you never run out of songs. There’s just so many to choose from.”
