Check Out This Kayak Launch On Buffalo’s Outer Harbor [PHOTOS]

I recently purchased some kayaks and have been looking for places to use them. A couple week's ago I made a trip up to Lake Ontario but this weekend decided to try out some of the great places we have around Buffalo. I remembered there being a launch at Wilkeson Point that I had ridden by on one of my bike rides. So we called up one of our friends and decided to give it a try. What I didn't realize is that the boat launch was a self boat launch. There was no getting in the water, trying to balance in the boat or falling in! It was a dry launch and you were able to roll yourself in and out of the water. Genius.

The kayaking is awesome on the Outer Harbor! You're inside of the break wall so on a clear day the only waves you'll come across are wakes from passing boats.
