On the weekends, my wife and I like to make new dishes in the kitchen. It's a fun thing to do on a Sunday afternoon during the winter.  What we like to do is to get a little bit adventurous and make dishes we have not made before. Yesterday, we chose a recipe from the Barefoot Contessa. You may have seen her TV show. Company Pot Roast is a fairly simple dish to make. The downside is the cost of the ingredients: the meat, wine and cognac, etc. But you have to spend money for anything worthwhile.

Once we had all the ingredients together, it did not take long to prepare everything for cooking. The cook time was 2 and a half hours. The finished product came out really nice. I would give it a 9 on a scale of 1 to 10. Would we make it again? Yes, definitely!
