After months and months of anticipation and preparation, Buffalo's first Chick fil A location opened on Thursday and you have to hand it to them - it went well.  But was it worth the wait?  Almost everybody who's ever tried Chick fil A will agree that yeah - it's worth standing in line for.  For a fast-food chicken sandwich - it's the best chicken sandwich you'll ever eat.

There were lines that extended out the door, but the wait time wasn't unreasonable; 15 to 20 minutes in most cases.  And pre-planning for the drive thru kept traffic moving along busy Walden Avenue.  Drive thru traffic was diverted to a side street so there were no lines clogging traffic on Walden and Cheektowaga police did a great job of moving other traffic along.  There were even lighted signs along Walden informing drivers what was going on in case they were unaware.

The Walden Avenue Chick fil A wasn't the only one to open on Thursday.  Other locations in Las Vegas, Bensalem, Pennsylvania, Prince Frederick, Maryland and Methuen, Massachusetts also opened on the same day.

Business hours for the Buffalo area's only Chick fil A is Monday thru Saturday 6:30 am to 10 pm.  But never go on Sunday.  Company policy is to always close on Sunday to allow their employees a day of rest and worship.
