Christopher Hanel Is This Week’s Hometown Hero

It’s time once again for our Hometown Hero, brought to you by Batavia Downs Gaming with help from our friends at WNY Heroes who help us with our nominations every week.  This week, our Hometown Hero is from Pembroke, NY.  From our National Guard and The Reserves, it’s Christopher Hanel!

Chris is described as a caring and loving son, brother and boyfriend. He first enlisted in the National Guard the summer before his senior year of high school and went to boot camp that summer, and his contract was up April of 2016. He loved serving so much that he extended his contract with the reserves. While not serving, he works his day job and does a lot of things he enjoys, like target shooting, hunting and spending time with family. Chris is always helping other people out whenever they need it no matter the circumstances.
