Many people forget that cider is a farming industry.  Cider Week is about the impact that cider has on the region - the economy, and family farms that have been around for generations.

Cider Week is celebrated across New York State and this week it's Cider Week in Western New York. It's a production of the New York Cider Association, and the events "are intended to cultivate an appreciation for New York’s orchard-based cider by showcasing its diversity, food-friendliness, and excellent quality.

Some of the events include tap takeovers, painting parties, tastings, and dinner pairings just to name a few.

Liz was able to talk to Jen from the NY Cider Association to talk more about Cider Week which starts today!
