My prayers are with Ray Price and his family as they are going through the struggle of Ray's battle with cancer. Price has been one of my favorite artists since I began listening to country music. Although he may not be a mainstream artist these days, there are a few of his songs that will always rank at the top of my list of all-time favorites.

Ray's voice and the way he sings his songs are a match that no other artist could have pulled off on these songs. True, this is a collection of rather melancholy songs. However, the emotion and romanticism that Ray is able to display when he performs them can be appreciated by anyone. Whether you can relate to them on a personal level or if you can somehow picture the stories taking place as Price sings them, no doubt these songs are a masterpiece from one of the true legends to ever grace country radio.

The song "You're The Best (That Ever Happened To Me)" is my favorite from Ray Price. This is the ultimate song for a first dance at a wedding!

If you haven't ever heard "For The Good Times," do yourself a favor and listen to one of the greatest songs about moving on from a breakup ever recorded!

It doesn't have to be St. Patrick's Day to enjoy "Oh Danny Boy." This song reminds me of a great friend we lost a few years back. I love the string accompaniment in this one!

Finally, the hit "Faded Love" that Ray and Willie Nelson recorded together has everything a great song needs: fiddle, steel, great lyrics and great talent singing it!
