Coincidences of 9-11 Attacks – Dale’s Daily Data

(Getty Images)

Yesterday was the 10th anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon – carried out by terrorists trained in Afghanistan.  A day we’ll never forget.  But somebody put together a list of strange coincidences involving the World Trade Center attacks.

First – New York City has 11 letters

Afghanistan has 11 letters.

Ramzi Yousef  (The terrorist convicted of the bombing of the Twin Towers in 1993) has 11 letters.

George W. Bush has 11 letters.

New York is the 11th state.

The first plane to hit the Twin Towers was flight number 11.

Flight 11 had 92 people aboard.  9 + 2 = 11.

The first fire company to arrive at the scene lost 11 firefighters.

It happened on 9/11.   9 + 1+ 1 = 11.

The Twin Towers standing side by side looked like the number 11.

The total number of victims inside all the hijacked planes was 254.   2 + 5 + 4 = 11.

September 11th is the 254th day of the year.  Again 2 + 5 + 4 = 11.

Manhattan Island was discovered by Henry Hudson on September 11th, 1609.

Maybe it’s just coincidence, math probabilities or a bunch of baloney, but interesting.

To be fair – a lot of other connections don’t
equal the number 11 – Osama Bin Laden, Twin
Towers, World Trade
Center, American
Airlines, United Airlines.  So it’s
obviously selective coincidence.
