Concord Mother of Girls Shot with BB Gun Facing Charges
Bobbie Jo Laurie, 28, of the Town of Concord, has been arraigned before Town of Concord Court Judge Leslie J. Gibbin on three counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, according to a press release from the office of acting Erie County District Attorney Michael J. Flaherty, Jr..
The defendant allegedly endangered the welfare of her child by allegedly striking her six-year-old daughter in the face with a plastic baseball bat, according to the press release.
Laurie is said to have failed to exercise a minimum degree of care by allowing harm to be inflicted on her six-year-old and four-year-old daughters by Steven Scroger, 30, who allegedly shot them multiple times with a BB gun on two separate occasion, the press release states.
Laurie pleaded not guilty, and bail has been set at $5,000 cash/$10,000 bond.
The defendant will be back in court on September 19, 2016, at 6 p.m. before Judge Gibbin.
As are all persons accused of a crime, the defendant is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
