Country Music Shines At American Music Awards!

It was a big night for country music as they held their own at an all-genre awards show–The American Music Awards.  The big winner of the night…Taylor Swift.  She took home the night’s top honors of “Artist of the Year.” Swift also won Favorite Female Country Artist & Country Music?-Favorite Album!

 

Here is a partial list of winners at the 2011 AMA’s……

Favorite Country Artist- Male- Blake Shelton

Favorite Country Band/Duo- Lady Antebellum

New Artist of the Year- Hot Chelle Rae  ( beat out The Band Perry)

Favorite Pop/Rock Female Artist- Adele

Favorite Pop/Rock Male Artist- Bruno Mars

Favorite Pop/Rock Group- Maroon 5

Favorite Pop/Rock Album- Adele “21″

Favorite Adult Contemporary Artist- Adele

Favorite Latin Artist- Jennifer Lopez
