1892 -- Basketball is played in public for the first time.  Who would have thought that peach baskets could be so much fun?

1989 -- Ronnie Milsap is at the top of the country charts with "Don't You Ever Get Tired Of Hurting Me."

1992 -- Garth Brooks' "No Fences" ships 7 million copies.  It's the first country album to sell that many copies.

2001 -- Billy Ray Cyrus dives into acting on the Pax-TV series "Doc."

2005 -- Tim McGraw also takes a shot at acting in a movie directed by Rick Schroder.  The film features McGraw as a sheriff and only opens in seven cities.
