Jake Owen and The Band Perry are in NYC today to help announce the CMA nominees on Good Morning America today!  The country stars will be featured..... in the 8:30 am block and will announce the hopefuls in 5 categories.  Owen is also slated to perform his latest hit single "Barefoot Blue Jean Night."

The rest of the CMA nominees will be announced later in the day by Jerrod Niemann, Thompson Square and the JaneDear Girls @ the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.

It's a big day for King George Strait.  His new CD "Here For A Good Time" hits store shelves.  It's also an even bigger day for Strait because his latest hit "Here For A Good Time" has become his 84th Top 10 hit.  He's 2nd on the list  for the most Top 10 country singles behind Eddy Arnold, who had 92.\

Another film project may be coming Tim McGraw's way.  The latest rumor is that McGraw is up for consideration to star opposite Beyonce in Clint Eastwood's remake of "A Star Is Born."
