143 straight races without a victory until Sunday at Michigan International Raceway.  It had been four years almost to the day since Dale Earnhardt, Junior won a race and ironically it was at the same track, also on Father's Day back in 2008.  Junior not only won the race, but he dominated the field, leading 95 of 200 laps and stretched his lead in the final laps to almost five seconds over second place Tony Stewart.  As he crossed the finish line his legion of fans began the celebration.

Junior's 143-race winless streak is the sixth longest in Sprint Cup history.  His victory is the 19th of his Sprint Cup career.  Junior now has 12 Top-10 finishes this season

After Stewart, Matt Kenseth came in third and he holds on to the points lead, but only four points up on Junior.

Greg Biffle and Jimmie Johnson completed the Top Five.

Marcos Ambrose had the pole and finished ninth.

The first of the season's two road course races is next week in Sonoma, California.
