• Colgan Airlines Had Doubts About Pilot

    Senator Charles Schumer is calling for a Senate investigation into the events leading up to the crash of Flight 3407 in Clarence Center. That after word that Colgan Airlines had their doubts about the abilities of pilot Marvin Renslow to fly the particular plane that crashed. Those e-mails were never shared with federal crash investigators.

  • Fatal Stabbing In Village of Allegany

    State police have arrested a 22-year old man in the stabbing and beating death of a 58-year old man in the tiny village of Allegany in Cattaraugus County. Gregory Farr is being held without bail. He’s accused of stabbing Stephen Balser Monday night then finishing him off with a crow bar.

  • Buffalo Police Make Arrest In Fatal Hit & Run

    Acting on a tip from a body shop, Buffalo police have made an arrest in a fatal hit and run earlier this month on Broadway. The family of April Smith were informed that a suspect – a man – has been arrested. No identity released on the suspect yet.

  • Pedestrian Struck On Delaware

    A man crossing Delaware Avenue – in the crosswalk – and with the crosswalk sign indicating it was clear to cross was struck by an SUV last night. The man was taken for hospital treatment.

  • Holland Soccer Team Appeal Denied

    You may have been hearing about an appeal the Holland High School girls soccer team had placed with state officials. They played 17 games this season and were only allowed to play 16. Somebody made a mistake, but the state turned down the appeal meaning the Holland girls are ineligible for this year’s playoffs. They were 15 & 2 this year and had hopes of winning state championship, but because of a technicality their season is over.

  • Dog Owners Charged With Animal Cruelty

    The owners of a Dewey Avenue home are charged with animal cruelty after SPCA officials rescued two starving dogs. One of the dogs couldn’t even stand on its own. The SPCA is treating the two dogs hoping to save them.

  • Sabres Lose At Home Again

    Another home game and the Sabres send the fans away disappointed. They had a great start scoring a pair of goals 35 seconds apart to build a 2-nothing lead, but the Tampa Bay Lightning battled back to take the lead and hold off the Sabres for the second straight game 4 to 3. Ryan Miller with a tough night in goal allowing four goals on 23 shots, but two of them getting by him after being deflected off of skates. So the Sabres will look for their first win on home ice tomorrow night against Columbus.

  • Bills' Merriman Out For Season

    Bills linebacker Shawne Merriman is finished for the season. His achilles injury has flared up again and the Bills say for the good of the team and for Shawne Merriman – they’re putting him on the shelf for the rest of the season. He’ll undergo surgery.
