The great thing about music is that it appeals to many different groups in different ways.  What some people think is absolutely incredible is just noise to others.  There has been a huge debate on social media about which version of the song "Wagon Wheel" is better.

The song was originally framed by Bob Dylan.  He wrote the chorus and the melody.  However, it was never finished by him.  Old Crow Medicine Show was the group that came along and put the finishing touches on the song and released it in 2001.

More than 10 years after the song's release, Darius Rucker was invited to join OCMS on stage at the Grand Ole Opry to sing it.  The crowd went crazy for their version, and almost immediately, Darius decided to release his own version of the song.

Now the debate is out. Some people love his version. Some people hate it. But I think that's the case with any song.  I actually am one of those people who truly love both versions.

Old Crow Medicine Show sure doesn't seem to mind the popularity that Darius has helped to bring to it.

To see Darius perform Wagon Wheel live, get your tickets today for our Taste Of Country.  It's coming through June 14!
