Darth Vader Inducted Into National Toy Hall of Fame

It’s no secret.  The National Museum of Play is one of my favorite places in Rochester to visit with my family.  Now there’s a new reason to visit.  They’ve inducted new toys into the National Toy Hall of Fame.

Star Wars is now represented in the hall of fame as some of the action figures from the movie and dominoes were inducted.  They squeaked past the board game Clue and little green army men to make the cut.

The National Toy Hall of Fame recognizes toys that have inspired creative play and enjoyed popularity over a sustained period. Other toys that have previously been inducted are Mr. Potato Head, Barbie, the teddy bear, the cardboard box and the stick.

Anyone can nominate a toy to be inducted into the hall of fame.  What toy would YOU nominate?
