Dead Bear Found Near Canisius High School

This is a bit strange. The details are limited about a dead bear that was found in a dumpster near Canisius College in Buffalo.

According to MetroSource News:

A chopped-up (bear) carcass was found behind Delaware Avenue near Canisius High School yesterday afternoon and that a former transit cop claimed responsibility. He reportedly admitted killing the bear, skinning it and disposing of it in the dumpster.

A story published by The Buffalo News on Tuesday evening said:

A construction worker had called police after spotting the carcass.

Black bear season in our area of New York State is open along with the archery season for deer. Hunters are asked to report any deer or bear kill so the NYS DEC can keep tabs on the herd/sleuth populations.
