This is going to be a situation of perfect timing! A skull shaped asteroid is headed over Western New York this fall!

According to reports, the asteroid is nicknamed "The Great Pumpkin."

On Nov. 11, asteroid 2015 TB145 will zoom past Earth at a distance of 25 million miles.

This comet first appeared on October 31st of 2015, which is when it got its Halloween-themed name by scientists at NASA. It’s also been described as a “death comet,” since it’s strangely shaped like a skull.

NBC reports that:

The asteroid is classified as potentially hazardous because of its size and proximity to Earth. But astronomers who have tracked its trajectory say there’s no chance it will collide with the planet.

It will be tough to see with the naked eye as it will be pretty far away and very small by asteroid standards.
