Chalk up the fifth career victory at Martinsville Speedway for Virginia native Denny Hamlin. Brad Keselowski did all he could to get around him in the final laps but Hamlin held him off and it ends a long winless drought for Toyota.  The last time a Toyota won a race was in May of last year when Hamlin was the winner at Talladega.

Hamlin led 91 laps and his victory closed out an emotional week for the Joe Gibbs team.  It was learned earlier in the week that the son of Joe Gibbs, team president J.D. Gibbs is being treated for a condition affecting his brain function.

A week after winning in California, Keselowski settled for second place.  Joey Logano, Matt Kenseth and David Ragan completed the Top-5.

Danica Patrick finished a season-high seventh.  It moves her into a tie with Janet Guthrie for most Top-10 career finishes by a woman with five.

Kevin Harvick finished eighth to end his streak of eight straight Top-2 finishes extending back to last season.

Chase Elliott, the son of 1988 Cup champion Bill Elliott made his first Cup start was involved in an early wreck and his car needed extensive repairs.  He finished 38th.  He's been selected to replace Jeff Gordon in the Number-24 Chevy next season.

After a week off for Easter the series resumes a week from Sunday at Texas Motor Speedway.
