DETAILS: Canalside Ice Rink To Open Today For The Season

The ice rink at Canalside will in fact open today. At three o'clock the rink will open for the season and in addition to the 60,000 skaters that may return from last year, a new heating station and several new vendors are in store for 2015-2016.

With 60,000 skaters hitting the ice last winter, Canalside wanted to give people even more time to come out this year. Officials say they wanted to be up and running in time for Thanksgiving with Buffalo natives returning to town for the holiday.
