Country icon Dolly Parton will join pop star Katy Perry for a truly unique performance at the upcoming ACM Awards on April 3. The duet is sure to be one to remember, pairing two of the most recognizable faces in the music industry. They'll be sharing the stage for the first time.

Parton is also receiving the Tex Ritter Award for her television film Coat of Many Colors. The award recognizes movies released or having received major exposure in the previous calendar year that utilize or feature country music prominently. The film tells the story of the hardships Parton’s family faced one summer when she was a girl growing up in rural East Tennessee and features Jennifer Nettles as Parton’s mother. Based on her classic song by the same name, the film aired on NBC as the first in a series of three films based on Parton’s life and music.

Perry is no stranger to collaborating with country music, as she also teamed up with Kacey Musgraves for an impressive episode of CMT’s Crossroads in 2014.

The 51st Annual ACM Awards will be hosted by Dierks Bentley and Luke Bryan and will feature a slate of big-name country performers in addition to Parton, including Kelsea Ballerini, Jason Aldean, Eric Church, Sam Hunt, Cassadee Pope, Chris Stapleton, Carrie Underwood and many more. The ceremony airs live at 8PM ET.

Parton continues to remain in the spotlight even as a country legend, as she never stops pursuing new things. She recently announced her first headlining North American tour in 25 years and continues to expand her business ventures with her theme park, Dollywood, and new dinner theater restaurant in Pigeon Forge, Tenn. She’s also got her second TV movie in the works, this time based on her song "Jolene."
