Drake White’s idea of "livin’ the dream" might be a little different than most, because for him, it’s not a life of luxury, it’s giving back to the community.

White’s taking the opportunity to serve five different cities in a tangible way when he stops to perform with Zac Brown Band for their Black Out the Sun Tour. Partnering with Ford, White will participate in a series of service projects in Hartford, L.A., Detroit, Dallas and Boston.

Giving back is not a new addition to White’s schedule. He says he’s made helping others and improving communities a priority his whole life.

"Even before I had a public voice, giving back to the community has always been very important to me,” the singer says in a press release. “Whether I’m helping one family in my hometown in Alabama raise money for their urgent needs or helping a community with cleanup efforts after a storm, now that I have this platform it is more important to me than ever.”

The #LivintheDream by Giving the Dream campaign will engage members of the communities along with White to work with organizations like Habitat for Humanity, American Red Cross and Foodshare to support the life-changing efforts these nonprofits are accomplishing. For more information or to get involved, visit the campaign site. Dates for the five cities involved are listed below.

The Black Out the Sun Tour kicks off May 19 and runs through September. White will not only be touring with ZBB, but will also be playing some headlining dates in between. His most recent single, also called “Livin’ the Dream,” is currently making its way up the country charts. It’s his second off his breakthrough record It Feels Good, released in September 2015.
