Newcomer Drake White officially broke into the country music scene earlier this year when he released 'The Simple Life.' Now, thanks to his first single's success on the charts, White's schedule is getting really busy. Of course, he had enough leeway on his calendar to accept an offer to join a leg of Toby Keith's Hammer Down Tour!

White will jump on with Keith and Kip Moore at the Hammer Down Tour's June 14 stop in Cincinnati, Ohio. From there, he'll kick off the show in 11 other cities, including some in major markets like Pittsburgh, Chicago, Cleveland, Philadelphia and Boston.

Even though White's country music career is just starting to take off, he has already gained experience opening for major country acts. 'The Simple Life' singer has provided tour support for Eric Church, Kid Rock, Alan Jackson, Lynyrd Skynyrd, ZZ Top, Willie Nelson, Little Big Town and most recently, Blackberry Smoke.

Since the Alabama native released his debut single in March, the tune has steadily climbed the charts. This week, the song has cracked the Top 40 on the Mediabase country charts. Despite his success, White recently dished to Billboard that he tries not to get distracted by how well he's performing on the charts.

"You can't really do anything about that. You write your music, you play your music, and it is what it is," he said. "With radio, there's only so much time. When you see Carrie Underwood, Blake Shelton, Eric Church and all those guys competing for the same radio time you are... It really brought it down to the fact I'm just glad to be in the position I'm in. I think the music will take care of itself."

So far, it looks like 'The Simple Life' is definitely taking care of itself! Click here for a full list of White's 2013 tour dates.
