After strong winds left Eric Church unable to perform Friday night at Taste Of Country 2012, he released an audio statement, apologizing to the city of Buffalo. Listen to his apology here.

"I'm very bummed the show got canceled tonight. I've learned in doing this, that some things are out of your hands and this is one of those things. I owe the city of Buffalo one, and I intend to make good on that," Church said.

"To everyone out there, thanks for coming and standing in the rain and wind, and we intend to bring it when the time comes."

High winds created a safety concern and compromised the stage structure. After intense consideration, it was decided it was in the best interest for the safety of everybody at Coca-Cola Field that Eric Church not perform.

Details are developing, and we will bring you the latest information HERE and on the WYRK airwaves as soon as we have them, but if you were at Friday’s show, hang onto your ticket.

Thanks to everyone who came out to the show and braved the rain for Casey James, Dustin Lynch, the Eli Young Band and Joe Nichols.
