I went to the Eric Church show at the Rapids Theater on Sunday.  First and foremost, the Rapids Theater is superb for any show.  Seems as though Eric Church loves it to.I have seen him a few times at a few places and he seems to love the setting and the crowd in Niagara Falls.  It was packed with Church fans who sang along with every song and at many times you could hear the crowd over him!! I would say that Eric was typically great.

I have been hearing from many WYRK fans about this kid  Brantley Gilbert.  I have even had a chance to hear a song or two on You-Tube and iTunes.  I was blown away by his stage show Sunday.  The sold out crowd seemed to be just as pleased.  They chanted his name prior to his introduction and again sang along with every single song.  True, some may say his music weighs on the heavier side . But, I have to say that it seems to be the current trend in country music.  Gilbert is also known for writing/co-writing Jason Aldean songs  "My Kinda Party" and "Dirt Road Anthem." Above and beyond his own talents, his band (which he refers to as his brothers and greatest friends), put on one the best instrumental breaks I have ever witnessed.

Special mention has to be given to local openers, Underground Stampede. Their mix of blues, rock and country was a perfect compliment to the night.
