Country singer-songwriter Eric Van Houten is premiering his brand-new single “Come Find Me” exclusively with The Boot. Press play below to hear the tune, co-written by Van Houten with Brandon Ray and Emily Landis, and produced by Dave Pittenger.

"Come Find Me" finds its main couple broken up, after one-half of the pair went off to chase something new. In the chorus, the song's narrator tells their ex, "Come find me if you get a little lost out there ... Come find me when you realize what you've done and lost the only thing you loved / When those city lights go out, you know where I'll be ..."

"You had to do what you had to do," Van Houten sings in the bridge, "but if you feel like comin' home / Come find me."

Van Houten tells The Boot that he'd spent a week in Destin, Fla., before heading into the writing room with Ray and Landis -- that's what inspired the song's beach town setting. To him, the song "encompasses the idea that there will always be a place and someone waiting for everyone to go home to."

"It's more than just love between two people; it’s kind of about love with where your roots are from ... what made you you, and finding your way back," the singer adds. "I hope it moves people the way it has for me and the band."

A native of Buffalo, N.Y., Van Houten now lives in Nashville and has been songwriting and performing for almost a decade. In the past few years, he's toured with Canaan Smith, Kip Moore and other acts. "Come Find Me" follows his self-titled EP, released in April of 2017.

Fans will be able to stream "Come Find Me" via Spotify when Van Houten officially releases the song on Saturday (Nov. 10). Visit EricVanHoutenMusic.com to keep up with his goings-on.
