Make your plans for Thursday, August 10th when the Erie County Fair presents the first in what they're calling the Fair's "throwback" night of entertainment.  Appearing for a free concert in the GUSTO Grandstand as part of the National Grid Concert Series, country music legends the Bellamy Brothers and John Conlee.

The two acts have a combined 27 number one singles and more than 50 hits overall.  Remember the Bellamy Brothers first number one hit "Let Your Love Flow"?  How about "Old Hippie", "If I Said You Had A Beautiful Body", "Red Neck Girl", "You Ain't Just Whistlin' Dixie", "Do You Love As Good As You Look" and many more.

The Bellamy Brothers were named the Top Country Duo by Billboard Magazine in 1982 and hold the record for most duo nominations in both Country Music Association and  the Academy of Country Music Awards.

And how about the songs of John Conlee; "Rose Colored Glasses", "Lady Lay Down", "Backside of 30", "Common Man", "Miss Emily's Picture", "Friday Night Blues", "In My Eyes" and "Domestic Life."  In 1979 John Conlee was named the Academy of Country Music's Top New Male Artist of the Year.  And in 1981 he was also honored with lifetime membership in the Grand Old Opry.

If you were listening to country music in the 1970's and 1980's you'll remember all of these songs and know they were two of the most-played artists on the radio.  These two legendary acts are coming to town for a great night of entertainment.

Throwback Thursday Night featuring the Bellamy Brothers and John Conlee is FREE with gate admission to the Fair.  Thursday, August 10th at 7:30 at the Erie County Fair GUSTO Grandstand.  No Grandstand ticket is required for entry to the show.
