Aspire Announces Inaugural iXpress Film Festival

Buffalo, NY – Aspire of WNY and the iXpress arts program are pleased to present the inaugural iXpress Film Festival(IFF), called Behind the Scenes. The IFF is highlighting the work of nearly 20 filmmakers who participate in the iXpress arts program. Behind the Scenes, includes 18 films created by iXpress, a local group of artists with varying degrees of disabilities. The entertaining and socially illuminating films include narrative shorts, the digital story, documentary and experimental films, a comedic vignette, character chronicles, and even a late night talk show.

The IFF is being held Wednesday and Thursday, May 15th and May 16th from 6 to 8 p.m., at The Screening Room, located at Northtown Plaza Business Center, 3131 Sheridan Drive#7 in Amherst. Both evening presentations are identical. Tickets to the IFF are $5 and can be purchased by calling 716-505-5502. DVD’s of the films will be available for purchase and the film creators will be on-site to meet the media and public.
