Helping Hands for Haiti

Infant & mother mortality rates in Haiti are among the highest in the Western Hemisphere. Birthing bags are saving lives. On Saturday February 24th 10 AM – 2 PM volunteers are needed at Good Shepherd Community of Faith Church to sew and  assemble birthing bags. They're easy to make and fill. Both sewers and non sewers can help. Preventing infection in both mother and infant , limiting maternal blood loss & offering training and support for birth attendants is critically important. These kits are not just busy work for church or other groups in some instances they offer a choice between life and death. All are welcome to come and help us make a difference to lives in Haiti.
