Hounds & Heroes – A Celebration of America’s Heroes and Shelter Pets

It's a celebration of all things American, even electing a dog and cat president of the shelter. It's Niagara County SPCA's Hounds and Heroes including a parade led by Adam Benigni of Channel 2 (his brother is a vet), Senator Rob Ortt (who is a vet) and members of the NCSPCA's Dog Tags Program - vets coming home in need of support get paired with a trainer and one of our more difficult dogs - everyone gets better! We are encouraging folks to dress their animals in red, white and blue for the parade. There will be a classic car and motorcycle show and a bike run starting and ending at the shelter. Chiavetta's Chicken, contests with prizes, live music by Steelhorse. The locally made but nationally known tribute sculpture to 9/11 will be on display.
