The National Kidney Foundation Kidney Walk and 5K Run honors those who face kidney disease and calls attention to the effects of kidney disease in Western New York. It's this Saturday.
The 5K run follows a USATF-certified 5K course beginning on Fuhrmann Boulevard and travels along the scenic Outer Harbor. Race timing will be administered by Race Management Solutions, Inc. The run starts at 8:30 a.m with medals for the top 3 finishers in each category.
The one mile walk begins at 10 a.m.
Participants can join or create a team of eight to 15 members, with a group fundraising goal of $1,000. Teams can include walkers and runners. Participants may also register individually. Register or donate online.
