Veterans Career & College Expo

Calling all Veterans and their families looking for work. You are cordially invited to take part in the inaugural Veterans Expo at Medaille College. The Veterans Expo is from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Saturday, November 9th, 2013 at the Medaille Campus in Buffalo. At the Expo, we will have Colleges for veterans that are looking to further their education, veteran friendly employers (who are hiring veterans now), and veterans service organizations to assist with any issues our veterans are facing and do not know where to go for help. We are looking to have roughly 80-90 organizations to take part in this event, as it should be one for the record books.
Along with the education, employers, and veteran service organizations, we will be running a couple of workshops throughout the morning for our veterans. These workshops will focus on preparing veterans for employment. We will also have spaces set up for companies to interview applicants on the spot along with resume builders. The Better Business Bureau is helping us out with companies that are serious about hiring veterans with a solid track record of success.
This event is FREE and open to all veterans. Come out, have a great time, and help out some of our local veterans.
Also, on a side note… Everyone that has registered for the Veterans 5K Run will be coming to Medaille College to pick up their race packets. Last year there were roughly 500 runners, with about 350 of them registering prior to the run. This year they are expecting around 800 runners.
