I hear it time and time again: “They need to stop allowing people to drink so much at football games.” And I’m sure I’ll hear it again after what happened yesterday (October 20) in New York at a Jets v. Patriots game.

A brawl broke out after the game that ended up with a woman being punched square in the face.

You can blame the alcohol all you want. I’ll blame the people that fight.

I’ve been to my fair share of professional football games. I’ve had my fair share (plus some) to drink when I was at those games. I have never punched a woman in the face. Heck, I’ve never even punched a guy in the face at a football game. I can’t stand when people get a few drinks in them and want to fight.

It should be more like, “People need to grow up if they are going to drink so much at football games.“ Seriously…there was so much wrong in this video, and I’m not saying that alcohol wasn’t involved (it probably was), but that’s the first thing people think.

First of all, I have no idea what happened before the camera started rolling. Second, to the dude in the Chrebet (#80) jersey, show some restraint. You’re double the size of the girl that you squared off with.  ou didn’t prove how tough you were by punching her in the face. Actually it was the opposite. I’m sorry for you.

To the girl who got punched in the face, what the heck are you thinking? Trust me, it has nothing to do with the fact that you’re a girl that I say this. I’ve got plenty of friends who are females who could have showed that guy the inside of his eyelids. All you did was add fuel to the fire; you did nothing to put it out. Unless you are going to end a fight, stay out of it.

Again, I don't even know that any of the people in the fight were drinking. But I'm sure that's the first thing on people's minds. All I can say is, grow up if you’re going to drink. You’re going to ruin the fun for the rest of us.
