9-Year Old Suspended For Sexual Harassment

A 9-year-old North Carolina boy has been suspended after he allegedly said a teacher was “cute” — something the school principal called sexual harassment.  And it wasn't something he even said to the teacher - he was overheard saying it to a friend.

Another teacher overheard Emanyea Lockett speaking to a friend.  She says she heard the boy say the teacher was "fine", and said it in a "sexually suggestive way."  She then reported it to the principal.

Emanyea was interviewed by a TV station and said he actually called Miss Taylor "cute".   He says that's all he said.

Meanwhile his mother, Chiquita, complains that, “It’s not like he went up to the woman and tried to grab her or touch her in a sexual way."

The school district says Emanyea was suspended for “inappropriate behavior” after making “inappropriate statements.”
