Jamestown Police along with the help of the Chautauqua Childcare Council are holding the child car seat safety check today at….. Chautauqua Opportunities Inc., which is located at 402 Chandler Street. Safety checks will begin today at 10 in the morning and run til 2 in the afternoon. If your car seat is unfit for your child, police officers will replace any old or recalled seats for no charge. The law in New York State is that any child under the age of 8 years has to be in a child car seat.
