If you were in Niagara Falls or nearly anywhere in Niagara County on Thursday you may have caught a glimpse of the Goodyear Blimp.

Actually, there's a fleet of Goodyear Blimps, and the one that made a stop at the Niagara Falls Airport is the newest addition to a collection of five across the country, three of them based in Akron, Ohio. The others are based in Pompano Beach, Florida and one in Los Angeles, California.

The blimp is scheduled to be in the air again on Friday to fly over the Falls and other scenic areas of the Niagara River and southern Ontario to record video for use during television coverage of the World Cup of Hockey this weekend.

The blimp will also be used during coverage of the Toronto Blue Jays series with the New York Yankees.
