When I was in high school it was a tournament that we always looked forward to. Teams of four people would sign up to play with three on the court and one reliever.  It was the Gus Macker 3-on-3 basketball tournament. It was a blast and it's set to return to Western New York this year.

However, while we used to play downtown in Buffalo the games will now be moved to Grand Island.

According to WKBW, it's set to take place along Whitehaven Rd. and will boast a festival like atmosphere.  There will be food trucks and be a very family oriented event, something which it has been criticized of in the past.

Unfortunately registration is already closed for the tournament.  There have already been over 350 teams registered.
