It looks Blake Shelton won't have to say goodbye to his girlfriend, Gwen Stefani, on the upcoming season of The Voice after all.

Christina Aguilera is returning to the hit reality sing competition this coming season, but Shelton will still be working with his squeeze. According to Us Weekly, Stefani will return to the show to mentor Shelton's singers in the upcoming season.

“I don’t want Gwen to not be on the show, why can’t we have a fifth coach?” Shelton asked Extra TV in December.

When asked who she will miss the most, Stefani offered a tease, saying, “I wonder … ”

“It’s the combination. It’s the chemistry," she added.

The pop star said she was “devastated” that she only had three more shows, adding, “I’m probably gonna put out my record and do some shows." But now it looks she'll get to stay, although in a different role.

Shelton and Stefani confirmed their relationship on Nov. 4, before the 2015 CMA Awards. He and Miranda Lambert shocked country fans everywhere by announcing their divorce in July of 2015 after four years of marriage. Neither of the former spouses has commented publicly on the reasons behind the split, but Lambert has asked fans not to take a side in the emotional drama.
