It’s time once again for our Hometown Hero, with help from our friends at WNY Heroes who help us with our nominations every week.  This week, our Hometown Hero is from Hamburg, NY.  From our United States Army, it’s David Henneberry Sr!

Sergeant Henneberry’s nomination said this:

My father served in the Army from 1974-1977 as a Sergeant in Germany. He has since raised 7 children and 13 grandchildren. He is the hardest working self employed businessman in South Buffalo. My father works day in and day out from sun up to sun down. He has raised each and every one of us to do what’s right and even when we don’t he is still loving. Dave has instilled in one of his young grandsons (aged 17) the military honor and joined him at his most recent Basic Training Graduation. We love you dad and thank you for serving your country!

This week, we are honored to name David Henneberry Sr. our Hometown Hero of the week!

If you would like to see a picture of David, get to WYRK.com!  While you’re there, nominate your own Hometown Hero. We like to honor both active duty and veteran heroes from right here in Western New York.

Thanks once again to Sgt. David Henneberry Sr. from our United States Army, our Hometown Hero of the week!
