I have always been a fan of the .22 long rifle cartridge or .22 LR as it is known. As I stated in an earlier blog, that is what we shot when I was with the Williamsville North High School rifle club back in the 70's. The nice thing about the .22 LR is that it is very inexpensive to shoot.  That's a big reason why I just bought my new Ruger MK III hunter pistol chambered for the .22 LR.

Down in the southern states, you will find that a lot of folks prefer the .22 magnum round. I remember speaking with country music singer John Anderson who told me how much he loved shooting the .22 magnum. In this latest video from Heather LaCroix, she shows us the penetration power of the .22 magnum compared to the .22 LR.
