We are all praying for the Johnsons. The family from Wilson was involved in Tuesday morning's house explosion that killed 14-year-old Sarah Johnson and sent four other members of the seven-person family to the hospital. The cause is still under investigation, but authorities are leaning toward the possibility that a propane leak may have caused the blast that leveled the family's home.

A Johnson Family Benefit Fund has been set up, and many local businesses have rallied behind the family. Below is a list of where you can send money and/or donations. Please keep the Johnson family in your prayers as they continue to recover and deal with the loss of young Sarah.

The Johnson Family Benefit Fund was set up at the First Niagara branch in Wilson, but donations will be accepted at any First Niagara branch. An Indegogo fund has also been set up.

The two churches that are accepting clothing and other donations to help the family are:

First Baptist Church of Wilson
251 Chestnut St.
751-6988

Ransomville Free Methodist Church
3924 Ransomville Rd.
791-3855

The Barker Fire Department (1660 Quaker Rd.) will also be collecting donations and running two 50/50 raffles to benefit the family on Saturday night (July 28) at their Beer & Band Night, which runs from 8 p.m. until 1 a.m.

Little Joe's Pizzeria (3628 Ransomville Rd., Ransomville) has a donation box set up.

The Coffee Culture location at 448 Elmwood Ave. will be donating 100 percent of this week's sales to the family.

Amanda Targon-LentzShea Daubney and Michael Ward are organizing a benefit and are looking for donations of baskets, liquor and food, tents, tables, chairs, plates and silverware and, most importantly, time. They're asking people to please contact them via Facebook or call Amanda at 716-940-6969, Shea at 716-946-6600 or Michael at 716-930-9227.
