Here’s What To Do This Weekend In WNY

Southside Elementary School PTO's 3rd Annual Basket Raffle is Friday, March 31st from 4 pm to 8 pm. in the school's gym at 430 Southside Pkwy in South Buffalo. Proceeds from this annual fundraising event help fund field trips, busing, school supplies, field days and more. Choose from among large and small baskets.  Tickets for baskets and food go on sale at 4 pm.  

Sanborn Fire Hall is hosting a benefit for Anastasia Rosalie Rafter who has a long line of treatments ahead of her for an inoperable brain tumor.  She also will have to start learning to do things without her sight at a school for the blind, and with her parents being out of work, it's a financial burden for the family. This Saturday's benefit from noon to 10 pm is at the fire hall, 5811 Buffalo Street (Route 429) in Sanborn. 

Delevan Fire Company is hosting a Chicken BBQ & Chinese Auction this Saturday, April 1^st from 11 am to 3 pm to benefit Cub Scout Pack 627.  The Wendel’s Chicken BBQ features a half chicken, baked beans, salt potatoes and roll.  $9.00 presale, $10.00 at the door.  For presale tickets call 913-8236.  It’s at the Delevan Training Center, 1006 North Main Street in Delevan.

St. Francis of Assisi Parish invites you to the 8th annual Polish Festival on Saturday, April 1st at the parish hall, 70 Adam Street in the City of Tonawanda.  Doors open at 5:30 pm following 4:30 mass.  Dinner at 6.  Adult tickets are $17.00.  Includes Polish food and beverages.  Music by Joe Macielag.  A performance by Harmony Folk Dancers.  

The Elmwood-Bidwell Winter Farmers Market will wrap up its season on the Buffalo State campus on Saturdays, April 1st and 8th from 9:00 a.m. to noon in Buckham Hall A wing. It includes more than 15 vendors.  Buckham Hall is located on Rockwell Road near Grant Street. Free parking is available on campus during market hours.
