Here’s An Update On Hero, The Calf With Prosthetic Hooves [AUDIO]

We wanted to give you an update on Hero, the calf that got prosthetics to replace the back hooves it lost to frostbite last spring.

The prosthetics have failed, so Hero is being sent to Texas A&M University for surgery to correct the problem.

Kitty Martin runs the Virigina animal rescue that has been behind giving Hero a second chance at life, courtesy the donations of some Good Samaritans. Kitty called to give us an update on the process and what they plan to do.
